The last three days have been the most amazing whirlwind of excitement, affirmation, connection and celebration. On 3/15/12 WordPress.com “Freshly Pressed” my photo blog. For those of you that don’t know what that means I found this adorable post by another blogger that acknowledges the experience. Or as described by WordPress:
The best of 468,404 bloggers, 985,657 new posts, 1,438,526 comments, & 207,221,007 words posted today on WordPress.com.
My blog, email and heart have been overflowing since. I am not sure I am able to articulate my excitement and shock in now having 26,000 (and growing) hits on my blog and 117 new followers. I am just over the moon that I am able to share my photography with so many people from all over the world. It really is hard to put into words. For those of you that are also doing blogs or that are putting your photography out there for the world to see, you know, it can feel vulnerable at times.
Being Freshly Pressed was such an amazing gift. I am still in shock at the new community I have to share my images with and to learn from. Thank you for coming by and visiting my site. Thank you for your comments, praise and affirmations. Thank you for your shared awe of New Zealand. Our trip to New Zealand was amazing and this just made it even more special to us. I look forward to the next steps of this photo blog and with the growing community I feel so blessed to now be a part of. Thank You!
congrats on being freshly pressed…sadly some really great blogs never get pressed because they are too topical in their postings. Glad to hear it has opened your blog up to others though.
